Prince of Persia movie

I saw the Prince of Persia yesterday. It was exactly as I expected, fun, simple, and entertaining. For a Disney film rated PG-13 I found it quite interesting. I remember playing the Apple II video game back in 1989 and the sequel on the Mac in the mid 90’s, but I do not remember the story line. Jake Gyllenhaal seemed to fit the main character well. I mainly know of Jake from October Sky, Donnie Darko, and The Day After Tomorrow. I never saw Broke Back Mountain. Gemma Arterton is new to me although she has had parts in Quantum of Solace and The Clash of the Titans. I did not realize she was in Clash of the Titans as Io until writing this. The audience appeared to be an older crowd, 30+.

If you want to see a fun and entertaining film check out Prince of Persia.

Taken

Taken, a new film staring Liam Neeson, is a well done action, spy, kidnapping movie.

Neeson does an excellent job playing a retired mysterious spy whose daughter is kidnaped. The movie starts a bit slow as the characters and story develop. Once the main plot is revealed the action and intensity pick up. Think of this movie as a combination of the Bourne series and Man on Fire. The trailer is very intriguing.

new 2G iPod Touch 32 GB

I recently purchased a 32 GB iPod Touch at my local Apple Store. I have been trying out a lot of apps from the iTunes App Store, mostly free ones. I will review/comment on them soon.

So far I think its great.

A list of other Apple stuff I own can be found on the Computers sub-page from the About tab.

The new James Bond film looks promising

The new James Bond film looks compelling. The Quantum of Solace should an excellent installment in the revitalized James Bond film industry.

Daniel Craig has lead this revitalization with his tough more gritty and realistic portrayal of James Bond from the beginning of his 007 career as seen in Casino Royale

Iron Man movie

One of my most anticipated movies for 2008 has to be Iron Man. The first teaser trailer was excellent for drawing interest. I do not know the details of Iron Man lore but after a little research and talking to friends that do this movie has great potential to follow some known themes. Additionally, anything that has a reason for Black Sabbath music will get my attention.

I added a countdown timer to the right. This will be the first movie of 2008 that I will actually go to the theater to see, instead of waiting to get on Netflix.

Trailer #2

Trailer #2 gives just enough new information to maintain interest without giving away details. The end scene with the tank destruction that shows a little attitude is great.
